As a part of Macedonian CEI Presidency, the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning is organizing Ministerial Conference “Towards Climate Summit in Paris 2015, challenges for CEI Member States”, to be held in Skopje , on 6th November 2015. The Conference will gather Ministers or other high level representatives plus one delegate, as well as representatives from international and regional organizations, NGOs, researchers and etc.
The goal of the Conference is to strengthen the cooperation between the CEI Member States through the integration on climate change into existing planning processes as well as institutional cooperation on the same topic.
The aim of the high-level Ministerial Conference is to exchange views on the challenges in achieving low emission growth for CEI Member States, as well as to present the positions of each state on their INDCs processes and how they will promote the synergies between climate, energy and other policies. Furthermore, the Conference could serve as a platform to exchange views on further adoption and implementation plans on post 2015 Paris Agreement.
Ministerial Declaration will be expressing common willingness for cooperation towards achievement of greener growth for the CEI region and will be adopted.
In parallel, roundtable discussion will be organized for different stakeholders as a opportunity to exchange their views and approaches regarding their contribution towards lower carbon growth.
