The Minister of Environment and Physical Planning, Kaja Shukova held a working meeting with representatives of Brewery Skopje led by the outgoing General Manager Goran Sladic and his successor Dushan Mitrev, at which they discussed the good mutual cooperation so far, especially in the area of achieving the long-term implementation goals on the company’s socially responsible platforms for waste reduction, environmental protection and climate change – A world without waste and net-zero CO2 emissions by 2040.
“The environment, especially dealing with waste, requires broad and strong partnerships at all levels, but also the development of public awareness and social responsibility”, Minister Shukova emphasized at the meeting and announced activities for building partnerships and cooperation both with municipalities and with associations such as ADKOM, Community of local self-government units, Centers for Development of Planning Regions, with socially responsible companies such as Brewery, collective waste handlers, citizen’s associations, and the public. According to her, the activities must be aligned and directed in a coordinated manner towards achieving the common goal – reducing the amount of waste that will be deposited.
After the meeting, minister Shukova, together with the two directors Sladic and Mitrev, went to the event where the latest innovation was promoted – attached caps to the PET packaging of soft drinks in the portfolio of the company “Brewery Skopje” and disposal of such packaging in the vending machine for collection plastic bottles and cans of Pakomak placed in the “Tinex” store.
