– According to the Green Agenda, the emphasis is placed on the sustainable use of water resources, which includes ensuring a sufficient amount of water for the development needs of all users, taking into account the natural possibilities of ecosystems, as well as ensuring the protection of people and material goods from floods and other harmful effects of water – Minister Shukova pointed out in her introductory speech, emphasizing that the policy of the MOEPP in water resources management is aimed at harmonizing the national legislation with the EU legislation.
Within the framework of the project, two documents were prepared: “Water for green and sustainable growth in North Macedonia” and “Water security review of North Macedonia”, which will represent auxiliary tools for the realization of the requirements of the Green Agenda as a strategic imperative of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia in the future management of water and waste in our country.
