The Deputy Minister of Environment and Physical Planning, Hristina Odzaklieska, participated in the consultative event “Together for improved governance in the area of the environment and climate change”, which discussed the conditions related to good governance in the implementation of policies for the protection of the environment and climate changes.
In her opening speech, the deputy minister pointed out that our country is committed to the implementation of good governance policies and that good governance and related values are already integrated to a large extent in the generic laws that govern the work in the public sector, as well as in the key laws related to environmental protection.
– As a challenge remains the need for continuous improvement of the knowledge and skills of the employees who work on the problems related to environmental protection in our institution but also in the Local Self-Government Units, bearing in mind the complex legal matter in this area – noted Odzaklieska, adding that in the coming period the focus will be on the possibilities for complete digitization of internal processes and more efficient exchange of data and information with citizens.
The event is organized by the The Institute for good governance and policies in environment and climate change (IPECC), based in Skopje, within the framework of the project “Improving Good Governance in the Environment and Climate Change”, financially supported by the European Union, and implemented through the Civil Resilience Mechanism.
