The Minister of Environment and Physical Planning, Naser Nuredini held a meeting with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom and North Ireland, H.E. Rachel Galloway.
Ambassador Galloway pointed out that their support is aimed at principles of good governance and rule of law in the processes of decision-making and implementation of decisions. At same time the cooperation is focused on the non-governmental sector and municipalities.
Minister Nuredini expressed his appreciation for the support that United Kingdom and North Ireland provides in the European integration processes of the Republic of North Macedonia, especially in drafting the National Strategy for Energy Development.
The meeting also discussed the challenges Republic of North Macedonia will face in the negotiation process with the chapter 27 “Environment” as well as for finding long term solutions regarding waste management and air quality improvement.
Minister Nuredini conveyed his efforts to establish cooperation with donors, non-governmental sector, civil sector and municipalities.
