The Minister of Environment and Physical Planning Naser Nuredini met with the British Ambassador Rachel Galloway in our country.
Wishing a successful mandate to Minister Nuredini, the British Ambassador Galloway expressed readiness for cooperation in areas of common interest.
In the context of chairing the annual Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, COP26, were discussed opportunities to support the United Kingdom, as a leading country in its efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, in the implementation of the contribution to the Paris Agreement and the ambition for decarbonization of the Republic of Northern Macedonia.
Ambassador Galloway expressed Britain’s readiness to continue the co-operation established in the preparation of the Energy and Climate Plan and the implementation of the concrete provided activities.
At the same time, they discussed the inclusion of energy and climate aspects in the preparation of the Ten-Year Development Plan, the development of which is supported by the United Kingdom as one of the United Nations Partners.
