With a ceremony on the occasion of August 18, the Day of the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia, today at Ilinden military base in Skopje, the 31st year of its establishment was marked.
The minister of Environment and Physical Planning, Kaja Shukova, as a member of the government delegation, attended the event where all promoted officers to the rank of lieutenant colonel and all awarded and commended defense officers and members of the Army were promoted. The newly received light armored vehicles and other modern means available to the Army were also presented.
At the ceremony, besides the Minister of Defense Slavjanka Petrovska, the President of the Government of the RNM, Dimitar Kovacevski, and the President of the State and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Stevo Pendarovski, had their speeches, and representatives from the diplomatic corps accredited in our country and many other guests attended.
