(19.02.2016).Today, the Minister of Environment and Physical PlanningNurhan Izairi and the Mayor of Saraj Municipality Bekim Murati marked the commencement of the construction work for part of the secondary sewage network in Saraj, Municipality of Saraj.
Pointing out that activities and investments in the protection of water resources hold priority status in the work programme of the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning and the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, Minister Izairi said that the construction of this section of the secondary sewage network is aimed at finalization of sewage systems in the Municipality of Saraj. He also said that, considering that the wastewater treatment plant for the populated places Shishevo and Glumovo is completed, this means that better living conditions have been provided to a great extent for the residents of the Municipality of Saraj and at the same time protection of the water in the rivers Treska and Vardar, as well as ground waters of the springs of Rasche.
Engineering works are part of the project “Construction of feval sewerage systems for the populated places Grchec, Shishevo and Saraj in the Municipality of Saraj”. The funds amounting 3 million denars have been allocated from the Investment Programme of the Ministry for 2015 and the rest is provided by the Municipality.
