(18.02.2016) The Management Board of the Project for Wastewater Treatment Plant Construction in Kochani held its first constitutive meeting at which the initial activities towards its further implementation were considered.
– We have settled certain issues that are of high relevance for the further implementation of the project. All together, I have a really good feeling and I look forward to forthcoming years for this project, said Frank Widerker, representative of the Embassy of Switzerland.
According to the Deputy Minister of Environment Stevo Temelkovski, the planning of project activities and its dynamics will determine the course of the activities during this and nex year.
– Aspects we discussed are of financial, technical, purchasing and operational nature. I am convinced that we have the climate and good team and with the support of the local and the central government we will have a good project, a solid, capital wastewater treatment plant in this part of Macedonia, said Temelkovski.
Mayor Ratko Dimitrovski announced that the first tenders under the project will be published soon in order to enable the machinery going out to the site by the end of the year.
The project for construction of wastewater treatment plantwill be implemented by a grant of 21 million Swiss Frank provided by the Government of Switzerland and nearly 2 million EUR from the Budget of the Republic of Macedonia. Municipality of Kochani is partner in the implementation of the project and this facility will provide a very important facility for their residents and for the environment.
The term for the wastewater treatment plantcompletion is by December 2018.
