(05.10.2015)Deputy Minister of Environment and Physical PlanningStevo Temelkovski attended the tenth session of the session of the Council for development of Skopje planning region focusing on waste management, held in the premises of Hotel Kamnik.
The meeting was also attended by the President of the Council for development of Skopje planning region Sokol Mitrevski, Dutch Ambassador in the Republic of Macedonia H.E. Vouter Plomp, Mayor of the City of Huiz and Vice-president of Gooi en Vechtstreek region and member of the Assembly General Fons Hertog, Mayors of the municipalities of the City of Skopje, as well as Deputy Mayor of the City of Busum responsible for regional management of waste Lia de Rider and programme ccoordinator for public issues from the region of Gooi en Vechtstreek Mark Masen.
– Bilateral programme for cooperation between Macedonia and Kingdom of The Netherlands is focused on environmental issues and provides technical assistance to public sector in relation to relevant economic and environmental issues through short and medium term projects aimed at bilateral cooperation and capacity building, said Temelkovski in his address.
At the session, Mitrovski and Hertog signed Memorandum for Cooperation between Skopje planning region and Dutch region Gooi en Vechtstreek.
The primary goal of the signed Memorandum is to encourage activities to strengthen mutual cooperation in the application of the competences of the local self-government, with particular accent on regional development.
