The Minister of Environment and Physical Planning, Kaja Shukova, held a working meeting with mayors and representatives from the Eastern and North-Eastern planning regions, where they discussed the establishment of a model of functioning, structuring and financing of the Regional Public Utility Companies and the coordination of cooperation with municipalities and municipal utilities.
For better financial profitability of the regional communal services and for the grouping of the Planning Regions in the regional waste management systems, the issue of creating and establishing a functional model of cooperation and waste management was opened. In that direction, the next meeting has been arranged in which representatives from all other planning regions in the country will take part.
