The Minister of Environment and Physical Planning, Kaja Shukova, today signed agreements with the mayors of the five municipalities, Berovo, Valandovo, Cucer Sandevo, Prilep and Plasnica, which, through the reallocation of financial resources from the budget, were allocated funds for the implementation of infrastructure projects that will contributed to the protection of the environment and to the improvement of the quality of life of the citizens.
With the rebalancing of the budgets of 6 ministries and one agency, i.e. from the ministries of Health, Education and Science, Labor and Social Policy, Culture, Transport and Communications, Environment and Physical Planning and the Agency for Youth and Sports, the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, with the support of the Assembly provided a total of 2 billion denars or 32.5 million euros intended for a total of 66 project in 44 municipalities.
Funds in the amount of about 183.8 million denars will be invested in the environment, namely in the municipality of Prilep, 90 million denars for the construction of a waste recycling plant, in the municipality of Cucer Sandevo, 60 million denars for the construction of the treatment plant Kucevicka Bara, in municipality of Plasnica 8 million denars for a Wastewater Treatment Plant for the settlements of Preglovo and Lisicani, in the municipality of Berovo 4.654 million denars for the basic project for the construction of an open channel for storm water, and in the municipality of Valandovo 21.167 million denars for the basic project for part of the collector for the city of Valandovo.
