On August 6, the Minister of Environment and Physical Planning, Naser Nuredini held an official meeting with the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic, H.E. Henrich Markus
The Ambassador unequivocally expressed the strong support that the Slovak Republic provides for the Euro -Atlantic integration of the Republic of North Macedonia. Namely, Slovak Republic is among the first EU member states to ratify the Protocol of Accession of the Republic of North Macedonia to the Alliance and deposited it at NATO headquarters.
The meeting discussed conclusions of the signed Protocol of the second session of the Joint Economic Cooperation Committee where both parties expressed their readiness to formalize the bilateral cooperation in the field of environment through signing a Memorandum of Understanding in the near future. The Slovak side has also offered its technical assistance and expertise to Chapter 27 “Environment” through transferring their experiences specifically in integrated prevention and control of the industrial pollution, climate change, waste management and waste water treatment.
The Minister Nuredini expressed his gratitude for the support provided and expressed confidence that with hard and collaborative work, right approach and support we can be a great example for the region.
