On July 18, 2019 the Minister of Environment and Physical Planning, Naser Nuredini held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy H.E. Carlo Romeo.
Minister Nuredini expressed his respect and gratitude for the support that the Republic of Italy gives in the European integration processes of the Republic of North Macedonia as well as the willingness to cooperate for long term solutions in fulfilling EU criteria in the field of environment.
Ambassador Romeo stressed that the Republic of North Macedonia is on the right track and the support by the Republic of Italy is aimed at reforms in the legislation and institutions towards the fulfilment of EU values and standards. This is the main goal of negotiation process and benefits would be for the next generation.
In that direction the subject for signing the draft Memorandum for Understanding in the field of vulnerability to climate change, risk assessment, adaptation and mitigation between the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning of Republic of North Macedonia and the Ministry of Environment, Protection of Land and Sea of Republic of Italy.
